He is a Six Sigma Black Belt so is very familiar with productivity tools and methodology. His maintenance and reliability experience have a proven track record saving expenses plus increasing plant equipment uptime. He has been given ever increasing leadership positions throughout his career wherever he has worked. He possesses an excellent knowledge of industrial and mechanical equipment and can easily discuss problems in the boardroom or in the repair shop effectively and efficiently.

Great Lakes Chemical, El Dorado, AR, managed South Arkansas brine fields consisting of 31 brine supply wells and 40 injection wells. Increased runtime of down-hole submersible pumps by 25% using reliability centered maintenance techniques. Results were a 16% increase in operating margins for year.

Great Lakes Chemical, El Dorado, AR, managed cross functional team consisting of plant operations, engineering, maintenance and accounting personnel tasked with reducing downtime and expense related costs over a two year period. Implemented a maintenance work process that improved work order priorities, reduced backlog, added operators performing minor tasks, implemented reliability centered maintenance and reduced total number of maintenance contractors; saving the company $2.2 M from an annual budget of $24M.

Great Lakes Chemical, El Dorado, AR, as Reliability Manager and Engineer led and participated in multiple projects to improve equipment uptime. One project modified the compressor/ motor support base, added vibration dampening, relieved the piping strain and made room for maintenance. The project improved the runtime from four months to four years at a cost of $40k per failure.

Ensco, Inc., El Dorado, AR, managed multimillion dollar project to design, construct a new Administration, Laboratory and Employee Change House facility. Project challenges included changing construction schedules, multiple sub-contractors as well as stringent project cost drivers.

Ensco, Inc., El Dorado, AR, managed project to re-install complete shredding system and structure post explosion incident. Mike controlled project scoping and installation, completing the $2M project in less than three months.

Ensco, Inc., El Dorado, AR, managed multiple maintenance replacement projects surrounding multiple conveying systems, hydraulic driver for kilns and shredder equipment and many industrial ventilation projects to capture fugitive emissions from ash operations.

Dresser Atlas, Houston, TX, led operations team in new design of hydraulic driven, electrically powered down-hole formation testing tool, improving the turnaround time and functionality.

Mr. Geurin’s ability and experience in maintenance and reliability make him an excellent choice for solving repetitive maintenance issues.
