SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL TRAINING

ECCI has the unique advantage of having assembled a staff of environmental, civil, mechanical and chemical engineers and scientists to provide the knowledge and experience necessary to assist your Safety and Health Manager in evaluating your existing training program and recommending areas for improvement. ECCI can provide services ranging from compliance auditing and plan writing to presentation of actual facility specific training. The following classes are available:

  • 40/24/8-hr HAZWOPER

  • Permit – Required Confined Space Entry

  • Respiratory Protection

  • Personal Protective Equipment

  • Lockout/Tagout

  • Hazard Communication

  • Ergonomics

  • Facility-specific training for compliance with specific standards (i.e., PSM, RMP, SPCC, etc.)

Our investment in your facility’s training program makes ECCI a member of your safety and health staff, not just a consultant that provides canned safety presentations. ECCI, to the extent possible, provides a training program that includes both the content of the regulation and the way it specifically applies to your facility. This type of program allows employees to see how an abstract regulation applies to their everyday lives, thus increasing the overall safety awareness to reduce accidents and to potentially reduce worker compensation costs. Examples of specific projects follow:

Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality Little Rock, Arkansas

ECCI provided 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response training to 20 inspectors and permit engineers from the Air Division, Solid Waste Division, and Hazardous Waste Division.

Cargill, Inc. - Multiple Locations in Arkansas

ECCI prepared and presented an Environmental Regulations class for Cargill Managers in Arkansas. The class covered specific Arkansas environmental regulations which affected the facilities. ECCI also summarized and provided training on each facility’s specific environmental plans, such as Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan and SPCC Plans. Along with the regulatory training, ECCI was able to provide facility managers with an understanding of how individual regulations affected their existing permits and future plans for the facility.
