Project Engineer, Mechanical
The Entry-Level Mechanical Project Engineer will assist in the planning, design, and execution of mechanical engineering projects across a variety of industrial and environmental applications. This role works closely with senior engineers and project managers to deliver quality solutions while gaining hands-on experience in project management, design, and field work.
EXAMPLE OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems, including piping, pumping ventilation, and process equipment.
Prepare and revise engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations under the guidance of senior engineers.
Conduct field inspections to collect data, verify existing conditions, and support construction activities.
Research materials, equipment, and technical solutions to support project designs.
Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and proposals for client review.
Support project setup, scheduling, and coordination with internal teams and external contractors.
Ensure project documentation is accurate, organized, and up-to-date.
Assist in troubleshooting mechanical systems and providing technical support during installation and commissioning.
Attend project meetings and represent the company in a professional manner.
QUALIFICATIONS - EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required).
1–4 years of mechanical engineering experience (industrial field preferred).
EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Plant 3D or other relevant design software.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to learn new programs, processes and new tasks as requested, related to the mechanical field.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
